BIO- Earned BA degree at Rollins College and while there studied Art History in Italy for 4 weeks. Have visited MMOA in NYC: Musee D'Orsey and Louvre in Paris,FR: National Gallery in London: Egyptian Museum and Archives in Cairo, Egypt: former studio of Norman Rockwell in Arlington, VT and Monet's former home and Gardens in Giverny, FR. After studying with surrealist artist Peter Olsen, Claudia worked in a more creative symbolic style. Worked part time for Show-stoppers, Inc. in South Florida painting curtain backdrops, and 5X10 foot flats for local theatre productions. She created colored renderings to present to clients for visual concepts for corporate parties and window displays. The artist works in a studio at her home. - Claudia Backes
