What is art? Where does is come from? Where is it going? Art to me is a creative manifestation, which brings the world of the unseen into the world of the seen. It applies to all of creation beginning with simple thought and intention. But true art goes beyond the mere act of creation. It encompasses some unexplainable spark that kicks the static into the living. The life force and energy, which we know, exists in an unending seamless matrix underlying this entire dream that we perceive as life is somehow released and made visible. True art grabs the eyes and the heart, and for no logical reason makes us go "WOW!" That experience is the level of pure joy. This is what I paint and why I paint. To create that feeling where the experiencer is transported to a world where time and space have no meaning, an infinite colorfield of all possibilities. This is my revolution of pure art, pure freedom, and liberty of consciousness. The infinite zone that is the real world. We are not what we are trained to see, but much more. We are energy, light, and love. We are artists. We are art. We are the thoughts and the hands of God. Although my art and my concepts of my artistic experience are constantly evolving and changing, I have always connected the process of painting as being a spiritual one. My paintings do not start with preconceived ideas. They are born and develop during the ritual of painting itself. I think of the creative process as a method of transcendence. It is the purest form of transcendence as it is without ceremony and pretense. It is the essence of what God does. It is creation. It is a way that we get to that place where we all need to be. Whether we refer to this as Nirvana, Cosmic Consciousness, the Unified Field, etc., it is the same place. Yet as true artists, we go to this place without seeking it. We are compelled to create, and through this compulsion, we are drawn to this place. It is the zone of pure magic, and the more we enter this place, the more this magic is amplified within us and radiated out to the world exponentially. I think that my latest work has been an exploration into unknown territory for me. It may also seem visually chaotic. I am ready to take it a lot further in terms of exploiting chaos and dissonance past the brink and back to order on a new level. Order as I define it. Maybe that is what this is about, about challenging conventional definitions of order to the point that there are no conventional definitions of order. In this new territory I am totally free because are no rules of engagement. I create the rules and the concepts of order. And the idea is that free of academic and societal rules of order these new ideas of order and beauty develops and evolves into newer and higher possibilities. And they are not necessarily of conscious intent, but flow innately from the artist in a mixture of consciousness, unconsciousness, physical process, accident, and exploitation of accident (on both conscious and unconscious levels). True creation then comes from everywhere; it is universal, infinite and holistic.
